WHAT TO EXPECT

Event date is March 8-10, 2024. This is a campaigner level living history immersion event. ALL those who register and attend must meet event impression guidelines and be able to physically perform all duties asked of them at the event. There will be NO engagement at this event but expect to perform and experience all duties of soldiers enlisted in a military unit and in camp. We are recreating the first issue of uniforms to General Sterling Price's Division days prior to the Battle of Elkhorn Tavern/Pea Ridge.

This will be a 2 impression event, EVERY man will arrive Friday in your Missouri State Guard/Civilian impression, then be issued your new 1st MO Brigade uniform set early Saturday morning. Find impression guidelines on the IMPRESSION GUIDELINES page of this website.

This living history immersion event will be made up of 6 infantry companies with a minimum of 25 men per company forming a single battalion. This battalion will feature a full 9 man color guard, a commissary unit preparing all rations issued to companies, and 2 quartermaster wagons from which uniforms will be issued on Saturday.
